In response to the national lockdown announced by the Government on Saturday 31 October to help protect the NHS and save lives as part of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, all GO Gateshead leisure centres, including all gyms, will close from 10pm on Wednesday 4 November.

We will suspend all GO Gateshead membership Direct Debits from this date to ensure no payments are collected during the closure. For any payments that have recently been collected that would ordinarily cover the month November, we will waive your first payment due in the month immediately following reopening.

Please do not cancel your Direct Debit, as this may affect future access.

Any bookings you may have from Thursday 5 November will automatically be cancelled.

We apologise for any disappointment or inconvenience this may cause, but as always, the welfare of Gateshead's residents remains Gateshead Council's primary concern.

We will continue to monitor and follow the advice and guidance of the Government and hope to welcome you back to our leisure facilities as soon as it safe to do so. In the meantime, we would encourage everyone to continue to be physically active as much as possible whilst adhering to government guidance. Check out our selection online classes led by your favourite GO Gateshead instructors. Why not give one a go?
