While we can't wait to welcome you back, we appreciate not everyone will be ready to return.

All members need to reactivate their membership before using our facilities. You can only do this online and won't be able to do it at our leisure centres.

Reactivating your membership

All membership fees remain suspended, which will stay in place until either:

  • you reactivate your membership
  • we reopen all facilities and services

Before you return to any of our leisure centres, you must reactivate your membership.

You can do this by completing our reactivation form. Once submitted, we'll be in touch to let you know we have restarted your Direct Debit.

Reactivating an annual membership

If you pay for an annual membership, please contact your local leisure centre once open. They will be able to extend your membership to account for all months you were unable to attend.

Joining as a new member

If you are not a member and wish to join, you can see our membership options.

Currently, new memberships will only apply to the gym at Gateshead International Stadium with further gym and a swimming pool due to to open  in the coming weeks.

You will need a GO Gateshead card to book any activity, including gym and swimming pool sessions.

Your GO Gateshead card will be available to collect from any reopened GO Gateshead leisure centre.
