New rules

To create a safer environment for our customers, both members and non-members now need to book a slot when visiting our gyms.

If you are a member, before attempting to book you will need to reactivate your membership first.

Non-members will need to pay for their session at the time of booking.

Gyms sessions are available for booking at Gateshead International Stadium and Dunston Leisure Centre. A limited fitness class programme will begin at Dunston Leisure Centre from Monday 17 May.

Birtley Leisure Centre gym is open but is not part of GO Gateshead. Visit the Lifestyle Fitness website for more information.

How to book

You must book a session in advance, or you will not be able to use the gym.

You can book a session through the booking site used for fitness classes and activities. If you have not used this site before, you will need your GO Gateshead card to set up an account.

Visiting the gym

If you arrive at the gym without booking a session in advance, we will be unable to let you in. We will not be accepting any bookings or payments at the leisure centre.

Your booking will last for 55 minutes, which includes the time it takes to enter and exit the leisure centre. It also gives us time to clean the gym before the next session.

Cancelling your booking

We all knows plans can change. If for whatever reason you can not longer attend an existing booking please always cancel your booking on our booking system so the space can be made available to others.
