GO Bears Den soft play
At Gateshead Leisure Centre there's lots for mum and dad, but we needed a place where the kids can go mad.
A place with adventure and fun, like a playpen. So we thought very hard and built the GO Bears Den.
There are slides and balls and challenges to try, in a frame not one but four storeys high. We've a cargo net sky walk and climbing towers and a twister zone to entertain for hours.
For the under 12s there so much to do, there's even an area for babies and toddlers too. It's filled with fun things designed for their age, so they don't get lost in the sprawling maze.
And while the kids run wild not far from view, there's plenty of seating for adults to park up for a brew.
It's the perfect place for young cubs to let off some steam, after which they'll sleep like a dream.

Opening times - term time
Monday to Friday
GO Bears Den is open from 10am to 7pm Monday to Friday. There's no need to book, just turn up ready to play!
Saturday and Sunday
Pre-booking is recommended due to limited capacity. There are three sessions per day:
- 10am to 12pm
- 12.30 to 2.30pm
- 2.30 to 4.30pm
To book you will need your GO Gateshead card. Search under 'Classes' at Gateshead Leisure Centre to check availability and reserve your place.

Parties at GO Bears Den
Choose between:
- 10am-12pm soft play session with private party room 12-1pm
- 12.30-2.30pm soft play session with private party room 2.30-3.30pm
You can bring your own food and drinks for the party room. The soft play session will be open to other customers during your party, but a dedicated seating area is provided for your party group.
Usual prices per child apply, plus a charge of £20 for use of the party room.
Exclusive use bookings are available, subject to availability.

Restrictions
The GO Bears Den has dedicated play areas for babies and toddlers, and children up to 12 years old.
To ensure everyone remains safe and enjoys the soft play, we have recommended ages for each of the areas:
- Baby and toddler area: 0 to 4 years.
- Junior area (four-tiered soft play): 5 to 12 years
The GO Bears Den is unsupervised and all children remain the responsibility of their parent or guardian, who must remain in the GO Bears Den arena at all times.
A parent or guardian is classified as a responsible person aged over 16 yrs+.
One parent or guardian can supervise up to a maximum of four children at any time.
This is for the safety of all users.
