Train in the home of champions...
Whatever level you're at or are looking to get to, the facilities on offer across our leisure centres are there to help you reach your target. The tartan track at Gateshead International Stadium is IAAF-standard and is regularly used in international competition. The same can also be said of the athletics field, with facilities in place for all jumping and throwing events.
The stadium is also home to GO Gateshead's only indoor track, giving you the chance to train all-year round.
For all weather outdoor training for athletes of all abilities, Blaydon Leisure Centre also offers an IAAF-competition standard six-lane athletics track, and long and triple jump pit, with upgraded floodlights and drainage.
Access to our tracks is included in the GO Gateshead membership. You can come and try it out with a track pass or on a pay-as-you-go basis. If you need exclusive use of the track you will need to complete a booking form available at Gateshead International Stadium and Blaydon Leisure Centre.
