No one misses out on activity or fun at Birtley Swimming Centre.
Birtley Swimming Centre is GO Gateshead's only leisure centre dedicated to swimming. While other centres have gyms and fitness studios and athletics tracks, we're focused solely on swimming. We've got three pools - two smaller pools and one large 25 metre pool - where you can come and learn to swim, get fit, work on your technique and have fun.
Our timetable offers something for everyone, with dedicated slots for public swimming, lane swimming, Aquafit classes, lessons and family fun.
We also have one thing that all other pools in Gateshead are envious of... a water slide!
