Find out more

We have a range of swimming sessions available for booking, including lane swimming, family sessions and sessions for those with special educational needs and disabilities.

You must book your swim session in advance. This can be done up to seven days beforehand. No bookings or payments can be taken on the day at reception, although if there are spaces available you can book online or by phone immediately before your session.

Each swim session lasts for 45 minutes in total. To maximise your time in the pool and help us keep things running smoothly, please arrive at least five minutes before your session is due to start.

Please report to reception on arrival. At busy times, you may have to queue outside the leisure centre. Our staff will let you know when you can come in.

You will need to wear a face covering while moving through the leisure centre, but you can remove it when in a changing cubicle and during your swim.

Please follow one-way systems and signage at all times.

Customer changing and facilities

Please shower at home beforehand and, if you can, arrive at the leisure centre wearing your swimwear under your clothes.

Changing cubicles are available for before and after your swim. Session times are staggered to reduce the number of customers using the changing rooms at any one time. Lockers are also available and require a token, but tokens will be available free of charge when the register is taken at reception.

Customer toilets are available.

If you're unable to wait for a shower at home after your swim - for example, because you have a skin condition and need to rinse off the pool water straight away - you can use the pre-swim shower bank. However, soaps and shower gels cannot be used.

Customers with disabilities who require private shower facilities should ask to use the Changing Places accessible changing room which has a shower.

Private cubicle showers, vanity areas and hair dryers are not available.

Using our swimming pools

Lane swimming

You should enter the pool from the shallow end, ideally directly into the lane you have booked.  Please do not exceed the displayed maximum capacity for your lane.

Swim clockwise, leaving at least two metres between you and the swimmer in front.

Swim for All sessions

While swimming in Swim for All sessions you can move around the allocated pool area freely, splash about and have fun, but please try to keep two metres between your family and other swimmers.  You are welcome to bring small floating and sinking toys for your children to play with.

Please do not stay in the pool beyond the end of your swim session.

Now that you know what to expect when you visit us, it's time to book your swim session.
